Less formal than consecutive interpretation, liaison interpreting consists in translating a speaker’s words, either immediately after his or her speech, or during the course of it. Here, indeed, no note-taking, but a real dynamic sequence of voices without any material. The format of this service is therefore perfectly suited to mobile events such as site visits.
Usually, a maximum of four or five participants are present during these exchanges (simultaneous interpretation will be more appropriate for events with a larger number of participants).
